The olympics that is....I think that Michael Phelps is amazing. I very much enjoyed the opening ceremonies as well, can't wait to see what they do for the closing ceremonies. Just throwing the subject out there : )

I've been enjoying the mens swimming and rowing ... oooh the bodies on those fellas, lol!!
The gymnastics has had me mesmerised; good to see that some of the girls have slightly more feminine figures these days tho many still look like they could use a good feed.
The politics of it all concerns me though, and the Chinese have made a few dodgy calls on the human side .....
People have lost their homes with no compensation for the facilities to be built - anyone who complains gets arrested. There was a girl who was badly hurt in rehearsals which is being covered up, they had a pretty girl mime the singing because the one with the best voice wasn't cute enough (in their opinion).
And the spectacle of the opening ceremony - is it really fair to have all those young girls cheerleading for hours in the heat with no water? Can't have been much fun for the teams that were in the stadium for longest either. Oh and did you know not all the fireworks were real ... there was some manipulation going on there to make sure it looked its best.
That doesn't take away from the sheer brilliance of the competitors but it does make you wonder at the real cost.
